NW Children's Home, founded in 1908, is a private and nonprofit residential treatment center that provides therapeutic and educational services to children and adolescents suffering from academic, behavioral, emotional and psychological disorders. Its education centers offer classes in subjects that include language arts, mathematics, social sciences, physical education and visual arts. In addition, the center provides training classes in reading, writing, communication and computational skills. In collaboration with many private, charitable and governmental organizations, NW Children's Home offers diagnosis and treatment for diabetes, bipolar disorder, depression, schizophrenia, psychosis, intellectual and cognitive impairment, and sexual, drug and alcohol abuse. It offers a variety of residential treatment programs for children. Children's Home is a member of the National Association of Homes and Services for Children and is located in Lewiston, Idaho.
