"I founded Nit Nurses after battling head lice as a school nurse. It was not easy telling parents that their children could not return to school, and it was even more difficult to see the children's sad faces, and worse, their embarrassment. I finally had enough and started nitpicking right there in the school clinic, and I've been doing it ever since. Nit Nurses is on a mission to keep children in school, educated about the facts of lice, and to do all that we can to remove the unnecessary stigma associated with this very common condition.
