Newberry College, founded in 1856, is a four-year undergraduate coeducational college, offering liberal arts and science programs. The college provides preprofessional programs in disciplines, such as law, dentistry, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and veterinary medicine. It offers honors programs, which include Summerland and Departmental Honors. Newberry has academic skills and writing centers that provide tutoring services.
