The New York State Police, established in 1917, is a full-service statewide law enforcement agency that maintains various specialized units, such as aviation, bomb disposal, K-9, bicycle and snowmobile patrol, mobile response, motorcycle, and marine and scuba. Headquartered in Albany, N.Y., the New York State Police is accredited by the New York State Law Enforcement Accreditation Council.
