While Murphy Oil Corporation is the holding company, its business operations are carried out by subsidiaries that include Murphy Exploration & Production Company, Murphy Oil USA, Murphy Oil Company and Murphy Eastern Oil Company. Claiborne P. Deming has been the chief executive officer of Murphy Oil for more than 12 years. He has been with the oil and gas operation for over 27 years. Deming earned Ba and JD degrees from Tulane University. Murphy Oil Corporation is headquartered in El Dorado, Ark.
