Mitchell Elementary School offers a range of educational programs to more than 400 students in kindergarten through grade six. Its syllabus includes mathematics, science, English, social studies and language arts, as well as administers special and talented and gifted education programs. The school maintains a library and media center that stocks books and periodicals and provides links to search engines. It also operates a parent-teacher association that conducts several fundraising events and programs. The school provides early childhood, learning disabilities, and early and intermediate literacy support programs. In addition, the school conducts classes in orchestra, band, chorus and physical education. Mitchell Elementary School employs a psychologist, occupational therapist, and speech and language specialist, as well as operates video and chess clubs.
