General Info:

Welcome to the Millstream Classic Car Collection…..Here-in represented is a 50 year effort born of a love for and an appreciation of antique and classic automobiles. That love really began over 50 years ago when I received my first car on my 16th birthday—“Grandpa’s Model A”. It’s been in the Smith family since 1939 when my father Earl Smith sold his milk cow and bought the Model A for his dad for $175. (The reason?—Transportation to go fishing, of course!) Upon Grandpa’s passing in 1953 the car went to Dad, who gave it to me ten years later on my 16th birthday. I, in turn, gave it to my oldest son, Tom. In fact he came home from the hospital in it when he was born—making it the first car he ever rode in and starting a new family tradition. Each of the next 6 kids came home from the hospital in a different old car—which will become theirs someday.I don’t know what it is about human nature that makes us want to hold on to the past but we all seem to do it. Most of these cars represent “the good olde days” a by- gone era, when a buck was a buck, a man’s word was his bond, when deals were made on a handshake, when people had time to talk, time to interact, and time for each other. This display is my attempt to share part of that bygone era with you. While facilities and funds don’t permit the type of displays found in Las Vegas or the Union Station, most of my cars represent what the average “working man” could afford. My philosophy in owning and collecting and restoring old cars is—“use‘em but don’t abuse ‘em”. Because most everything in here was driven regularly, most are not 100% show quality—as some critics would be quick to point out. They are just here for you to enjoy. Take your time, read the signs, ask questions, look, reminisce, enjoy. The restored cars are housed inside the museum and those waiting their turn at restoration are outdoors on both sides of the building. There is a restroom facility outside at the north end of the building. Please sign the guest register and take a brochure before you leave. Thanks for coming, Sincerely, Jack.
