Established in 1946, the Miami Township Fire Department is a full-service organization that is comprised of career and part-time personnel. The department offers fire suppression, rescue and emergency medical services for residents. It handles hazardous materials-related incidents, vehicle extrication, structural collapse, and water, ice, rope, space and trench rescue operations. The Miami Township Fire Department employs a staff of more than 60 firefighters and volunteers, as well as operates several fire stations.
