The founder of Meticulous Tours, Nomvimbi Meriwether, brings a wealth of experience to the area of volunteer tourism and humanitarian services.In the 1980's while working as a missionary along the Kruger National park area in South Africa, Nomvimbi established and operated refugee programs, for Mozambique villagers running away from Renamo, economic empowerment programs for the village women and a primary school was established from a feeding scheme she initiated for the village children. Nomvimbi has founded several charitable organizations including an orphanage. In addition, she has installed water boreholes in the village, begun an organic gardening program, medical missions for healthcare professionals. She has led several youth mission to Africa to volunteer in schools, orphanages, contructing fences, participated in school feeding programs, making bricks for orphanage construction.
