Mercer was founded in the mid-1950's by a group of individuals whose goal was to provide the industry with quality rubber lining applications. They concentrated their original efforts on the water treatment, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.In 1981, Mercer changed ownership and became affiliated with Epicor, Incorporated, a Linden, New Jersey manufacturer of powdered ion exchange resins used in water treatment applications.In 1985, Mercer relocated from it's original plant in Hawthorne, New Jersey into an 18, 000 square foot facility in Linden.Since this transition, our company diversified in the marketplace and actively participates in bulk-hauling, industrial contracting, utility and steel fabrication industries. This expansion has resulted in a significant increase in both the application services we offer and the marketplace we serve while we continue to research opportunities in new areas for growth and development.
