Established in 1932The Meacham family has been curing hams using a recipe handed down to William Meacham's grandmother before 1900.  In 1932, William Meacham founded Meacham Country Hams to share his wonderful country hams with a wider audience.  The company has had a steady  following of catalog customers across the country for many years and now also has a thriving Internet customer base as well.   William walked across the yard to make sure his recipe was being followed until his death in 2008.  The business has remained in the family and is now managed by grandaughter Amanda Meacham Coy.  Chances are, if you call the Ham House, you may end up speaking with Amanda.  Although Meacham Hams will celebrate 80 years in business this year and they have been featured in many national publications (including being named Best Peppered Ham in the Dec 2011 edition of Real Simple), the staff at Meacham Hams still tries to provide customers with a personal touch and a dose of warm southern hospitality.
