McRae's Paint & Hardware has always been known as The Store of Many Paint Colors. McRae's earned this reputation for recording and saving the formulas of custom paint colors selected and sold to their customers during the 30 years it was a member store of ACE Hardware. Here is a favorite comment from customers we like to be told. Customers that have selected a paint color on the chart from another store tell us the selling price would have cost them $39.99 or more. But, we blended the color in our Lanco Paint or Lucite Paint brands for less than $25.00. When we record the colors that we formulated into Lucite Paint or Lanco Paint, we want the customer to easily reorder as needed. So, we name the formulated color to what the customer would best remember it by. Example, Kitchen ceiling, Den wall or Exterior Trim. McRae's Paint & hardware is offering service to our customers by being able to: Cut to size both acrylic and window glass or order in special thickness Duplicate most keys for both home and auto that work! When we sell custom paint colors that we match or you just select, we record the information for easy reorder by our customers We stock plumbing repair parts for the older homes that are in Oak Cliff We make or repair window and door screens in both solar or regular screen Printing services for business cards, flyers, banners and signs for vehical or yards. We can design the graphics Our sales staff has over 85 years of product knowledge & experience. McRae's first became a member of ACE Hardware in 1971 until 2005. Even though we are not a member now, our product offering is essentially the same except for very few products that had the ACE Hardware name. McRae's has the buying power of over 6,000 stores due to our association with both Handy Hardware & Orgill Brothers Hardware (that sells even internationally) to offer competitive prices to the public. Many of our prices are lower than when we were still a member of ACE Hardware and purchased from ACE Hardware. McRae's Print & Hardware is free of the burden of having madatory participation in very expensive Major Market advertising by ACE Hardware. We were expected to absorb the advertising cost as an expense of doing business as an ACE Hardware Store.
