MVHI is operated by a Board of Directors made up of professionals with experience in health care, education, town government, law enforcement and human services. Our Board represents a number of prominent local and regional organizations including Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Dartmouth Medical School, the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth, Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital, local government, and Mascoma Savings Bank. MVHI has built a strong broad-based community coalition of school administrators and teachers ; local police, fire and emergency management officials ; corporations and small business owners ; health care providers, community and school nurses ; academics and researchers ; town officials ; mental health and substance abuse professionals ; and leaders of regional hospitals and community service agencies. Our goal is to partner with community members and organizations who share our commitment to community health, to build a strong and effective public health system that serves the needs of the residents of the Upper Valley. MVHI looks to the Ten Essential Services of Public Health to guide our organizational and partnership development.
