General Info:
The Lotto Players Association (formerly Texas Lotto Players Association, Inc.) was founded in November of 1992 by Television/Radio Talk Show Host Lon Dorsey. Mr. Dorsey had created the company as The Lotto Discount Club of Texas which was designated to be somewhat of a buying service for members that gave away free lottery tickets to customers. It offered local flyer advertising to local businesses. When the Lottery Commission fully launched the Texas Lottery games, Lon had worked to change the image of the Club to a Players Association, citing that many persons who played the lottery had no representation as a buffer between the lottery commission and the store vendors. Having a marketing background, he further built on this experience to create the first ever lottery radio show, and subsequently placed the knowledge of then Texas Lottery Players Association on television. The organization in 1993, incorporated under the name, Texas Lotto Players Association, Inc. The senior attorney for the Texas Lottery Commission Kimberly Kiplin, the senior attorney for Fuller & Eason, Roger Fuller, the Secretary of the State of Texas, and Lon in a conference call, worked out the new name, which was suggested by Attorney Kiplin, "Texas Lotto Players Association, Inc. In 1997, Lon created the TLPA Members Business Directory, in order to bring opportunities to the small business community, and give them free lottery tickets with their advertising purchases. Presently, a new website is under construction which will soon be available as www.tlpamembers.com (check back soon if it does not load yet) will again offer FREE lottery tickets to businesses that advertise in the TLPA Members Business Directory (store front and/or online version) The company owners will never pay for lottery again, as long as they are advertising in the TLPA Members Business Directory. Free tickets are based upon the size of ad placed, and can range from $25 to $500 dollars a month in FREE lottery! Ads are fully tax deductible as a business expense. The tickets are totally free to advertisers. Advertisers receive lottery ticket gift certificates which are redeemable at their local supermarkets where lottery is sold. TLPA Plans more national media in the future, with more cash and prizes to be given away to advertisers and lottery players. TLPA is the first 'true' lottery players association in the world, which gives free lottery tickets to members and offers a players consortium of groups to help the average person win a lottery jackpot! November 2011 marks the Association's 20th year in business. Texas Lotto Players Association, Inc. has an unaccredited BBB Rating of A and has had no complaints ever in 19 years.
