Long Wholesale is one of the largest convenience store suppliers in the South. Based in a 150,000-square-foot distribution center in Meridian, Miss., the company supplies grocery stores and convenience stores with candy, tobacco, over-the-counter drugs, novelties and processed meats. Long Wholesale is comprised of the four divisions of grocery, rack masters, novelty and food service. The grocery division supplies weekly and bi-weekly shipments of more than 6,400 stock keeping units. The rack masters operation is a full-line health and beauty care division. Jewelry, porcelain figurines, glassware and toys are some of the products supplied by Long Wholesale s novelty division. Its foodservice division is a supplier of Goldkist pre-breaded chicken tenders and Miller s Country Ham. Long Wholesale s history dates back to 1922 when Erst Long Sr. founded Tippah Wholesale Company.
