think about fitness Fitness Concepts, co-founded by Ken Crowell and Scott Bauer, was incorporated in 1999 as a personal training company in The Woodlands, Texas and provided in-home personal training services to clients. As the company trained more clients, the need for a dedicated facility became evident. Planning began for a small personal training studio to better serve the clients of Fitness Concepts. Small ideas became larger concepts and soon a small fitness center for adults was born. A third partner, Karen Monroe, was added to the Board of Directors in early 2003. In August that same year the company approved the purchase of a 1.25 acre site in The Woodlands to be the home for Lifestyle Fitness Center. The Center is devoted to the health and fitness of adults over the age of 21. Special emphasis is placed on removing the mystery and intimidation for those unfamiliar with exercise equipment and group classes. The focus of the Company is to provide a place where adults feel welcome, confident and successful as they embark on their lifestyle change.
