KHNS is a community-based, public radio that broadcasts a range of live, local and nationally syndicated programs for the residents and visitors of Alaska. Established in 1980, the radio is a member of the Alaska Public Radio Network. KHNS additionally airs several news and musical shows. The radio operates under the banner of Lynn Canal Broadcasting, which is a federally recognized nonprofit organization. KHNS broadcasts the Gold Fever , Tlingit Time and Talk Around Town programs.
