Huntersville Hardwoods is a concentration drying yard located in the heart of the North Carolina furniture belt. The company offers a diverse inventory of more than 25 species of premium hardwood lumber. Its facility includes a state-of-the-art sorting line, three high-speed planers and more than 480,000 board feet of kiln capacity. Huntersville Hardwoods is a Hardwoodweb.com company, which consists of eight operating facilities. After more than 50 years in the lumber business, it is recognized as one of the largest lumber companies in the Southeast. The company was originally founded as Howard Lumber in 1952. In the1960s, Atlanta Hardwood became the sales arm for Howard Lumber. In 1966, it opened a second plant in Huntersville, N.C., to service the furniture industry in the Carolinas.
