Founded in 1972, PPL is a nonprofit organization that assists low-income individuals and families with housing, employment, youth development training and various community-based support services. PPL has built more than 1,300 housing units, including housing clusters, supportive housing, multifamily complexes and rehabilitation facilities. It provides property management services that include interior and exterior preventative maintenance, plumbing, electrical work and security arrangements. PPL has completed several projects, including Crestview, Anishinabe and Vail Place, which altogether offer more than 500 apartments. It also purchases and renovates dilapidated buildings and sells and rents out to low-income families. PPL is located in Minneapolis.
