The only hospice with Laurens County in its name! Hospice of Laurens County was established in 1987 by a group of volunteers that noticed a need in the community for such a service. Since 1987 we have served over 2000 families in Laurens County. We are a not-for-profit organization; accepting all patients regardless of their ability to pay for services. In the face of terminal illness, when there is nothing more that can be done to cure the disease, there is still much that can and needs to be done for the patient and family. Hospice is a specialized health care program emphasizing the management of pain and other symptoms associated with terminal illness and providing care for the family as well as the patient. Hospice services are designed especially to help terminally ill patients, families and friends face the physical, emotional, social, financial, and spiritual aspects of their lives, and the patient's death, together in an atmosphere of support and acceptance.
