Founded in 1979, Hospice of Central Pennsylvania provides emotional, physical and spiritual support to terminally ill individuals and their families. It is a nonprofit, community-based organization that partners with the United Way of the Capital Region and the United Way of Carlisle and Cumberland County. The center is a member of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and the Pennsylvania Hospice Network. Hospice of Central Pennsylvania s hospice care team includes nurses, physicians, home health aides, counselors, music practitioners, social workers and therapists. It provides services in homes, hospice residences, and nursing, assisted and independent living facilities. The center additionally offers advance care planning services.
