The City Church is a group of people who Jesus has saved and assembled to reach and serve the surrounding Washington Metro Area. The mission of The Holy Temple Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We accomplish this through: Prayer - We make prayer or communing with God the way we grow to spiritual maturity in Him. Preaching - We emphasize the original Pentecostal doctrines of salvation, sanctification, and the baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ and of being filled with the Holy Ghost (speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance), stedfastly striving to develop faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. Acts 2:38, Acts 2:42, Acts 4:12. Publishing - We publish the Gospel through the printed word, the spoken word, the internet and through our personal lives, daily looking for opportunities to spread the message, Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
