Operational since 1964, Holston High School is a learning center that provides academic instruction to more than 300 students in grades 9 through 12. It offers educational classes in biology, chemistry, earth science, English, geometry, history and geography. The school maintains a conference room, gymnasium, library, cafeteria, auditorium, administrative offices and over 20 classrooms. It organizes football and wrestling activities. Holston High School offers memberships in the Future Business Leaders of America, Future Farmers of America, National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. It has a parent-teacher-student association that works for the overall development of the school. The school is located in Damascus, Va. Holston High School is governed by Washington County Public Schools, which specializes in the fulfillment of emotional, social, physical and educational needs of nearly 7,000 students.
