General Info:

The Pioneer Adobe House, aka Mennonite Settlement Museum, was built in 1876 by Mennonite immigrants in 1876 and is the last surviving adobe house. It is furnished with period furniture, clothing, cooking utensils, clocks, trunks, farm equipment, etc. and demonstrates the lifestyle of early immigrants to Kansas. It is on the National Register of Historic Places. Includes an operating windmill for grinding wheat and a one-room country school set up in 1890s style.
