Aside from Mr. Baker himself, the most important contributor to the agency's service to the Dover community was Archibald Nicholas, Jr. In 1958, Mr. Nicholas brought his newly minted Wharton business degree and his new wife back to his hometown of Dover and joined forces with Mr. Baker to build one of the area's most enduring business success stories. The Henry O. Baker Insurance Group has always prided itself on being a traditional, Main Street community leader, true to its independent roots. When Mr. Nicholas decided it was time to retire in 1999, he left the company in the very capable hands of his daughter, Jennifer, who learned the insurance business and the importance of customer service, at her father's side.Today, the Henry O.
