Established in 1976, Helping Hands Inc. is a nonprofit organization operating as a partnership of 26 churches from throughout the Benton County. Located at Bentonville, Ark., it operates a thrift store, proceeds of which go towards helping the residents through assistance programs. Some of the services offered include rental assistance, assistance with utility bills, help with doctor visits, clothes for prospective job seekers, diapers/formula for babies and foot pantry. In addition, the organization assists people affected by fire or other natural disasters. Helping Hands Inc. operates one of the largest food pantries in northwest Arkansas providing food to more than 900 families monthly.
