It is a 185-bed facility that is owned and operated by the Colbert County-Northwest Alabama Healthcare Authority, a nine-member board comprised of local citizens appointed by the Colbert County Commission. In addition, the hospital maintains the Helen Keller Hospitality House, which is a duplex that provides low-cost lodging for patients traveling long distances.
