Marlise McAllister and her husband Mike Barker are the fourth generation owners who are leading Hansbarger Home Solutions into the future. I enjoy working with people ' our customers, the Greenville community, our staff and manufacturers, said Marlise. I'm so glad I chose the family business because I got to spend so much time with my father, who passed away in 2009, and learn from him. After all these years, customers still come to us with new questions we've never been asked. He taught me to love the challenge of finding new solutions! We take the time to listen to our customers, and we ask a lot of questions to find out which of our solutions will meet your lifestyle and your budget, Marlise explains. Many of our new customers were referred to our store by a friend who had a good shopping experience with our staff, Mike added. We feel an obligation to our staff to provide a safe, fun working environment where they are treated fairly. It must be working: two of our salespeople have been with us for over 25 years! We also feel a responsibility to provide jobs in the Greenville community, says Mike. It's a challenge when things break, Marlise admits. Our customers understand that things break, but they still need the product fixed ' fast! We've developed close relationships with carefully selected manufacturers during our long history. We know how to jump through hoops and get things done because we do it all time. I love to call a customer and tell them the manufacturer stands behind the product they made!
