Seabee Corporation Foundry, located in Hampton, Iowa, is a facility of Seabee Corporation, a company that offers engineering, manufacturing, specialty chrome finishing and foundry capabilities all under one roof. The foundry produces alloy steel castings that range from half-a-pound to 1,000 pounds in weight. It produces low to medium volumes with no minimum quantity requirements. The foundry has heat treatment and machining capabilities and a full-line pattern shop. It has more than 12 single-ton induction furnaces capable of producing 480 tons castings per month. It uses pep set, chemically bonded sand for its molds, which eliminates the need to bake molds. The foundry also has the capability to test hardness, as well as to perform spectrographic, ultrasound and liquid penetrant testing.
