For more than 75 years our designers and crafts people have been creating beautiful high-quality tableware, giftware, and home and garden accessories that are durable enough for everyday use but unique enough to be heirlooms. --from Wikipedia-- Hadley Pottery had its inception in 1939. At that time, M.A.Hadley applied her artistic talents to the making of a custom set of dishes for a cruiser that the Hadleys had on the Ohio River.[4] The Hadley Pottery building was purchased by the Hadley's in October 1944 as a birthday present for Mrs. Hadley.[5] Mrs. Hadley painted all of the murals on the walls of the building.[6] In 1952, Mary Alice Hadley received the Good Design Award from MoMA.
