Flatirons Habitat for Humanity is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The houses then are sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest charged. The Flatirons affiliate was founded in July of 1993 and serves the area of the Boulder Valley School District and all of Broomfield, Niwot, and Erie. Our affiliate has built more than 25 homes in partnership with local families in need of housing. Currently we are building 4 homes in partnership with Wild Sage Co-housing in north Boulder and fourteen homes at Emerald Hill in Broomfield. Powered organization and we need YOU! All we want is a few hours a week of your time. We need people to: * Sort * Test * Clean * Drive our truck on pickups and deliveries * Work in our office * Design our merchandise displays and advertising * Translate Spanish * Work on our EBay and other online selling projects and much more! We also welcome people who need to perform Community Service. We always have work available. Can't come into the shop? We're also looking for people who can work from home or the road on various tasks, and we're always looking for new marketing ideas. Volunteers must be at least 14 years old. Volunteers under the age of 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Volunteers make it happen
