Green Valley Country Club, conveniently located in the hills two miles west of Clermont, is known for excellent greens, lovely vistas, superior year-round conditions and its vintage Lloyd Clifton design. In addition, Green Valley boasts a full practice facility (range, putting green, practice hole) and a charming onsite restaurant, the Green Valley Bar and Grill.
A 6,645-yard (new Black Tees 7003 yards), par-72 championship layout that plays longer than its yardage, the course offers a wonderful mix of challenges and opportunities for the smart player. All facets of your game will be tested as you play these 18 dynamic holes. We offer five sets of tees to match your game and suggest that you avoid the blue and black tees unless your handicap index is 7.0 or less!
Built on land once used for citrus farming, Green Valley's original 9 opened in 1966, the second 9 several years later. Because the Clermont area is unusually hilly for Florida, Green Valley features elevation changes unusual for Sunshine State golf. The course serves up some spectacular views, including a panorama of Lake Minneola from no. 6 fairway.
In January 2010, GolfVisions Management Inc. took the helm at Green Valley and set about restoring the conditions and ambiance that had made Green Valley such a longstanding favorite for its members and the Lake County golfing public alike. Today Green Valley is by far the best combination of playability, conditions, and price in the Leesburg/Clermont area. Comparable to many of the best courses near the Orlando theme parks and attractions at less than half the price. Well worth the 25 minute drive!
