General Info:

FUN in the country started AT a local livestock auction. KIM and I went to the auction to find OUT what the price cattle. We OWN 20 Acres of land on it is a Barn and fenced pastures. The pastures were full of weeds and scrub trees that were taller then a your typical adult. I HAD purchased the land 10 years prior. With NO need for the USE of pastures. I just LET them GO. They were truly a mess. We decided we should USE the land or sell OUR beautiful home in the country and LET someone else make USE of the property. This is WHY we were AT the auction. OUR plans were to have a cattle farm. There we were bright and early in the morning looking AT ALL the cute little cows. Pigs. Sheep and goats. AS the auction started we were SO excited. AS fast AS it started we were lost. The auctioneer would start on ONE of the animals and before we knew what HE was saying or what was happening HE would knock HIS Mallet on HIS table and yell sold, a buck and a quarter. On they went to the next LOT. We HAD NO idea what was going on. We SAT there completely confused trying to figure OUT what was happening. What was going on?. What DID that sell for? frustrated. It was nearly noon. We decided to leave. SO with OUR disappointment we made OUR WAY to the OUT door of the auction to the platform overlooking the animals. To the exit door. AS we approached the exit door I notice a llama. I exclaimed "HEY look a llama!" KIM looked being AS surprised AS I was about a llama being AT a livestock auction! there HE was a llama in a crowd of cattle. We began to TRY to engage the llama. AS we talked to HIM. It was AS if HE knew what we were saying. HE was SO cool! AS we are focused about the llama the auctioneer came across the platform towards US. The auction was breaking for the lunch. AS HE approached. I asked HIM if HE kNew HOW long it would take before the llama made HIS WAY into the auction. HE asked ME "WHY?". YOU want that llama?". I said "NO". I Don't know anything about Llama's. HE said "YOU CAN have that llama for $50". I said "NO! I Don't know anything about Llama's". HE replied "OK. YOU CAN have that llama for $35!". AS I'M about to SAY NO!. KIM says "We'll take HIM!" I looked AT HER like She's a crazy person. SO. OUR first purchase in OUR story was a llama. On that DAY OUR lives began to change for OUR amazing ride and the start of FUN in the country alpacas. NOW. YOU SEE. Llamas are herd animals SO the llama. We named Norman. Needed a friend to live happily ever after. That's WHY we began OUR search for WHO and what Norman was going to live with. AS OUR adventure began we went to other llama farms without success. YOU SEE OUR $35 llama was SO much cooler then the ones we SAW AT the farms! SO we PUT Norman with 2 steers we HAD purchased. There was to much turmoil between the species. We HAD to PUT Norman back in a pasture by himself. KIM SAW there was an alpaca show in a nearby town SO SHE asked if I wanted to GO. "what is an alpaca?" I exclaimed. SHE told ME "well. They are like a llama only smaller. " SHE GOOGLED them and pulled UP a couple of photos. YES. AS the story goes. Bright and early OFF to the alpaca show we went. We stayed AT the show ALL DAY talking to breeders and of course the alpacas. Touching. Oohing and AHHING over them. We stayed there until the END of the DAY. We went back just AS early AS the next DAY to SEE OUR NEW found. . . What turns OUT to BE obsession. YES. I DID SAY obsession. When YOU come to OUR ranch we will SEE exactly what I mean. These animals have enlighten and changed OUR world. They have graciously taken over OUR lives. Including OUR property which once was wasted. With NO regrets. From that first little rose grey girl named selena we SAW. To the beautiful alpacas we create. This is what we DO and this is what we love to DO. FUN in the country has grown from that $35 llama. To a renown alpaca ranch. And YES. Norman
