Liam Williams joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in January 2020, following a 22-year career in the United States Coast Guard, where he attained the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer. Liam understands the challenges and opportunities associated with life in the military and is committed to helping service members and their families get their financial lives squared away.
Liam has a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Columbia Southern University and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from American Military University. He holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses plus life and health insurance licenses in California and Florida.
Understanding that the biggest obstacle to financial security for most people is their own behavior, Liam serves as a personal financial coach to clients, continually reinforcing positive financial behaviors. He advocates time-tested financial principles, including disciplined, long-term saving and investing, careful debt management, and a thoughtful insurance strategy to manage financial risk. Liam will work with you to establish specific, meaningful goals that are consistent with your values and then develop a personalized financial plan to guide your pursuit of those goals.
Active in his community, Liam is a member of the USCG Chief Petty Officer Association, Sacramento Veterans Employees Resource Group, American Legion and the Navel Order of the United States.
