Steve Hamblen, owner and president of the multifaceted Fairview Builders, earned his doctorate in environmental engineering. Since the 1980s, he has used his knowledge to protect people from poor building practices and environmental hazards. Steve oversees each facet of your custom home design, choice of finishes, lot selection and enhancements. As a building inspector for the Ohio Department of Health, he saw the unfortunate results of inferior construction and how it impacted residents. As a building management planner for the state of Ohio, he worked with everyone from individual homeowners to multinational firms that needed environmental and construction assistance. In 1989, he started a regional environmental engineering firm that tested air quality and building materials in literally hundreds of homes, businesses, institutions and industrial complexes, long before "green" was a buzz word.
