Founded in 1980, EASTCONN is a public, nonprofit agency that serves the educational needs of schools, organizations, communities and individuals in Connecticut. Headquartered in Hampton, Conn., the agency works in partnership with more than 30 towns and education boards to provide a range of services that include customized professional development, school operations support, strategic planning, early childhood and adult education, as well as technology solutions. EASTCONN also works with local school districts to ensure that children in the region, from preschool through high school, have access to a variety of learning opportunities. It works in partnership with educators to continuously improve instruction with the goal of increased learning for children. EASTCONN employs over 400 people and has a fleet of nearly 90 vehicles for transportation purposes.
