In 1975, Floyd joined Getz Exterminating, again as a pest control routeman. In two years, he became branch manager for the Gainesville office. Floyd enjoyed this position with Getz and the office thrived. But Floyd eventually realized the constraints of working for such a large company, in that he could not treat his customers or employees as well as he desired. So, early in 1981, he put his 1974 C-10 Chevy pickup on the road, and Duncan Exterminating was born.Originally, the company operated out of Floyd and Sherry's home in Dawsonville, GA. In 1983, the company moved to a location in Gainesville, GA on Atlanta Hwy. In 1986, the company moved to its present location on Cleveland Hwy. In 2005 a branch office was opened in Dawsonville to provide better service to our customers.
