Dr. Viji Mahadevan has practiced in the Valley for the past 9 years. She completed her Internal Medicine residency in Pittsburgh where she won the "Best Resident" award 3 years in a row. She subsequently graduated from the prestigious National Institutes of Health in Maryland where she completed her Rheumatology fellowship in 2004. She has a strong research background in Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and has presented her research findings at the national rheumatology meetings. Before moving to the Valley in 2007, she was in private practice in Virginia. She has spoken at several community events to help educate patients about arthritis and osteoporosis. She is actively involved in research trials for RA in collaboration with Arizona research center. She brings with her several years of experience combined with her passion for providing a personalised and compassionate approach to caring for patients with arthritis. She lives in Glendale with her husband and twin boys. She enjoys yoga, reading and spending time with her family.
