He completed his General Surgery internship at Methodist Hospital in Dallas followed by residency in Otolaryngology at Loma Linda University Medical Center. He is a member of American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, Pan American Allergy Society, the Texas Medical Association and the Dallas County Medical Association.
