Dr. Paul Mitchell, Center Director for Eye Care of Delaware, is a gifted medical optometrist who manages patients’ medical and pre and post-surgical care. He is well-respected by his peers. Dr. Mitchell completed his Bachelor's of Science degree and his Doctor of Optometry degree at Indiana University School of Optometry, where he received numerous academic scholarships and awards. In 2012, he was one of the first optometrists to be certified as a Diplomate, American Board of Optometry. Dr. Mitchell served as staff optometrist at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami for two years. He then became the Center Director of Omni Eye Services in Wilmington before joining Dr. Owczarek at Eye Care of Delaware in 1987. Dr. Mitchell has published articles and lectures regularly in the area of ocular disease. He has given numerous national lectures for Optometry groups and regularly teaches continuing education courses. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
