Dr. Strickland was born in South New Jersey, moving to Pomona, NJ for his undergraduate degree in biochemistry. Having completed his four years at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, he ventured to Philadelphia, PA and attended Salus University, Pennsylvania College of Optometry. There, he was trained by the leading clinicians in the field and he focused his education on primary care, contact lens, cornea, and retinal disease. His rotations included many private practices as well as the VA Hospital of Delaware, where he spent 6 months perfecting his skills in pathology and advanced disease. He is unique in that he enjoys his job and it shows. He loves sharing stories with his patients of all ages, whether they be children who play sports or grown adults who share what they learned when they were in his shoes. If you are looking for a doctor who cares, who really enjoys spending time with you, a doctor who goes beyond what is required; than he is your guy. His passions in life include the beach, traveling, dancing, his friends and family, and sushi. Don't get him started on sushi, he will go on forever! All we ever hear are patients laughing as they come out of the exam room with a smile. You really have to experience it for yourself. We hope to see you soon!
