Diamond Plastics Corporation was formed in 1982 by private investors with the purchase of two PVC pipe manufacturing facilities. One was located in Lubbock, Texas ; the other, including a small corporate headquarters, was in Grand Island, Nebraska. Over the next few years, the owners and management focused on incorporating their business philosophy into the plants and people of Diamond Plastics. This philosophy was, and remains, to have the best people, equipment and procedures to make the product as efficiently as possible. With time came expansion. In 1989, Diamond Plastics purchased another production facility in Macon, Georgia. New facilities were built in Golconda, Nevada in 1994 ; in Muncie, Indiana in 1996 ; in Plaquemine, Louisiana in 2002 ; and in Casa Grande, Arizona in 2007. Additions were also made to the existing plants.
