Maintaining a healthy spine is vital to good health. The brain communicates with the entire body via the nervous system.  When the brain can communicate 100% to the body, you have 100% FUNCTION.  What does this mean?  It means that everything is working at 100% (the way it's suppose to be).  If the nervous system becomes irritated or interrupted by a subluxation (a misalignment of spinal bones resulting in pressure on a spinal nerve), the brain will become unable to control and communicate properly with the body (such as organs, muscles, etc.).  As the result, the body is not going to function properly.  It will begin to MALFUNCTION.  With the body malfunctioning, you can now have a disease process start to occur.  An example of that would be if the nerves to your stomach were irritated (via a subluxation), you could experience indigestion, ulcers, or an upset stomach.  As you can see, symptoms are the last thing to appear in the above process.  If all we did was treat you until your symptoms went away, but the subluxations remained, would you be healthy?  The answer would be "NO" because the disease process still remains and the body is still malfunctioning.  You can not be healthy until the actual cause of your problem (the subluxation) is removed.  At DeMarco Family Chiropractic, we treat subluxations, NOT symptoms.  Our goal is to correct your spine and return your body back to 100% normal function.
