The basic philosophy of our massage therapy practice embraces the concept of facilitating the ability of your body to heal itself, and achieve or increase health and well-being. Since touch is the fundamental medium of therapeutic massage, and usually involves some degree of pressure and movement, our massage therapists use touch with sensitivity in order to determine the optimal amount of pressure to use for you. Touch used with sensitivity allows your massage therapist to receive useful information via his or her hands about your body, such as locating areas of muscle tension and other soft tissue problems. We believe sensitive touch can convey a sense of understanding, support and caring, and are essential elements for you in the therapeutic relationship.
