Here at Cubanisimo Vineyards we are proud of our Cuban heritage. We combine this pride with our passion for Pinot Noir to create beautiful wines from our luscious Willamette Valley. A proud and deeply rooted Cuban heritage inspired the name Cubanisimo for founder Mauricio Collada, Jr. Born in Havana, Cuba, and a lover of all things Cuban (except Castro), Mauricio developed a fascination with wines when a colleague during his medical residency shared knowledge gained from growing up in a winemaking family. Mauricio, a Salem based neurosurgeon, was entranced by the elegance, complexity and vibrancy of Oregon Pinot Noir and it was an easy decision to pursue his passion with the 1991 purchase of a 21 acre parcel nestled in the gentle Eola Hills.
Tasting room hours: Open April through Labor Day Weekend, Friday-Sunday, 11-5pm, then again on Thanksgiving Weekend. Rest of the year we are open by appointment only, noon to 5pm.
CUBANISIMO 2006 Pinot Noir: Cubanisimo is especially proud to release our 2006 Pinot Noir, a vintage we believe has all the qualities and flavors of our 2005 pinot, but with a more intense expression; a fuller, more sensual feel in the mouth and a silkier, more delightful after taste. Full bodied, our wine displays enticing flavors of current, blackberry and cherry which will perfectly compliment cuisine commonly enjoyed in Cuban and American cuisines. We hope you will enjoy and share our pinot noir on many occasions.
CUBANISIMO 2006 Rosado de Pinot Noir: A lively, late spring young summer wine that awakens the taste buds with a dry, apricot and light cranberry-raspberry flavor. Best served chilled, this wine will cool and titillate. A total delight; A wonderful picnic wine.
