We are especially successful in matching colors and specialty finishes, such as glazes, crackle finishes and distressing. Repairs Creative Refinishing does numerous types of repairs including replacing veneer, from table tops to that piece missing from your dresser drawer front. We also can glue that dining room chair, rocking chair, table leg, making all those loose joints sturdy again. Creative Refinishing has the ability to fabricate missing parts to your furniture as well as reproduce carvings that have been damaged over the years. We want your furniture's appearance to be the best it can be. Stripping We utilize a flow-over system, by which the chemical is pumped over the furniture with a brush at the end of the pump hose. This process is done until the finish separates from the furniture. This is thorough, yet friendly to the wood and especially glue joints and veneers. Creative Refinishing uses a strong chemical paint remover to strip old finishes. The owner, Wayne Small began in the refinishing business when he entered a partnership in the Craftsman, also in Lakeland in September of 1978. This adds up to almost 30 years of experience. About our staff In March 2003, Creative Refinishing and Wood Lovers Refinishing, another long standing shop known for quality, merged into one business at a larger neutral and central location. Still named Creative Refinishing, the quantity of work done has largely increased and quality has not suffered.
