Creation Gardens and Design Inc. was founded in May 2001 by the Merritt family with the goal of providing the area with a professional landscape firm. The Merritts own and operate G & G Nursery, a wholesale grower of quality nursery stock. Since 1985, G & G Nursery has been growing quality planting material, currently farming over 200 acres along the Ohio River, giving Creation Gardens and Design unique access to quality pant material and years of growing experience. This helps make Creation Gardens and Design your first choice for top quality landscapes. Janie Carpenter, our landscape designer, is a licensed horticulturist in the state of West Virginia and has worked for over 30 years in related fields. She has a degree in Horticulture from Des Moines Area Community College and was born and raised in the Des Moines area. She always dreamed of coming to West Virginia to experience it's wild beauty, and now she hopes to add to it by designing landscapes. Janie also is licensed in the installation of segmented retaining walls and as a business pesticide applicator.
