Founded more than 75 years ago as an importer of birch wood flour from Sweden, Composition Materials is an international company that manufactures and markets plastic-blasting media, abrasives, fillers, extenders, deflashing media and plastic-blasting equipment worldwide. The company is also one of the largest suppliers of walnut-shell grits and flours in the world. The company markets more than 200 products. Its flagship product, PLASTI-GRIT, is known throughout the blasting world as one of the premier dry-stripping media products. It is a nontoxic, does not damage finished surfaces and is environmentally safe. In addition, the company s nutshell grit, fibers, corncobs, wood flour and other industrial products have been successfully recycled for use in industrial operations. Composition Materials is headquartered in Milford, Conn., and has distributors covering North and South America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Rim.
