Compassionate Counseling Services is a premier counseling service designed to meet the client's needs at each unique life stage. I am a special kind of counselor that works together with families and couples that are in pain and in conflict. I help each person understand their pain and suffering as it relates to other members of the family. I work with individuals, couples and families suffering from adjustments to major life transitions such as; divorce, remarriage, or the death of a loved one, and help them to understand and deal with alcohol, drug abuse and treatment related issues. I specialize in working together with children and parents. I believe in helping children through play therapy to achieve their potential, and develop healthy skills for functioning in the home, school, and in relationships. Play therapy gives children a special place to play out their problems and share them using the toys as their words and their play as their language. I am trained as a marriage and family therapist and view each family from a systemic viewpoint. Systemic family therapy identifies patterns, structures and rules that contribute to the problem. In the process of family therapy, the families' interactions are examined and solutions developed based on each family's unique needs. While I can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life.
