Clayton County Fire & Emergency Services responds to more than 27,000 crisis situations annually in the community. It employs over 290 staff members and operates nearly 10 fire stations that cover approximately 140-square-mile area of Clayton County in Georgia. The department provides emergency and nonemergency response services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Clayton County Fire & Emergency Services offers the Youthful Fire Setter Intervention Program to educate children and families, as well as supports the Give Burns The Boot drive. It includes support services, fire prevention, and planning and training divisions. The department also provides fire suppression, hazardous materials control and medical services.
